Hi there..
What is the best way to extract the email from the Booking table? Maybe you can direct me where this is done in the code?
Using Business.Large.SingleSite
Thank you in advance
Hello.
You can export all booking details, including emails, to the CSV file.
You can do this at the Booking Listing page at the Actions toolbar by clicking on Export button.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately extracting through CSV file is only available through the Admin user. I need a user/customer that has made a booking to view their bookings by using their email.
My thinking was that if I can extract their email address then I can write some script to extract their data based on the email.
Any suggestions on how to access the email would be appreciated.
Dear sir/madam, in search availability form, the date format is year-month-date. I want to change that to date-month-year.
How can i do that?
Hello.
You can do this at the Booking > Settings > Search page.
Kind Regards.
How can i do it there? There is no choise for that.
Ok i found it.
But i have another issue. For example i put in check-in date: 15-03-2023 and in check-out date: 16-03-2023. When i press search, the values changes to 2023-03-15 and 2023-03-16, just for a very small time and after the new page loads, it gets back to the original format.
Is that an issue of the plugin?
Hello.
Yes, system switch dates to standard date format 2023-03-15 after clicking on search button, and if you show the search results at the other pages (not at the same page). It's required for correct definition of search parameters in the URL of browser.
From the visitor side, nothing is changed and at the search result, you will see the dates, relative to the dates format at the Booking > Settings General page in "Form" section.
Kind Regards.
I understand this. But its confusing for the customer to see this fast change. Is there a way to hide this change? Maybe by changing a bit the css?
Hello.
It's will be fixed in next update of Booking Calendar 9.5.3
Currently I can not say about exact date of this update. Hope it's will be ASAP.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for this!
Best regards
Also something else in search form. The default date in check-in box is the today date. The default date in check-out box is tomorrow date. This is very good.
But if you just press search, it says: "Please select check-in and check-out days". So those dates are fake.
I think you should fix this, so those dates should not be fake. Or either have the boxes blank.
Is this possible?
Hello.
It’s placeholders. It’s common logic for fields in search or contact forms…
Such text must be in gray color. If you select the date, then there must be date in black color.
If you see something different, then probably you have some css conflict. Then send the link to your page with search form, where you are having the issue.
I understand what you say. But it is not common logic any more, it used to be in the past. If you check, all the modern and biggest hotel pages (like booking.com, hilton.com , aman.cm etc) they use existing dates in their search boxes that actually work and they are not placeholders. Usually they have for check-in the current date and for check-out two days after.
So i think this would be more modern and more useful if you could do that.
🙂
Hello.
1) Basically, at the booking.com and at the hilton.com websites, you can check that in the field "Where" (location), they use the placeholders as well.
2) In any case I understand the issue and we will add the option to remove the placeholders from the search form at the future updates.
Thank you.
I want to open the form when we click on the available date..
I've raised this issue already, but ran out of replies. I've now managed to get the update done, but when I click on the edit link in the email there is still no 'change your booking' button on the page
edit / modify / cancel bookings by the user, I'm just trying to understand the process and then potentially change.
at the moment the user can select a minimum of 5 nights at a property and they can pay a 20% discount. I've just done a test booking and then as admin approved the booking and manually completed their payment. The 'booking approved' email is sent to the user which includes the link back to the site for them to modify their booking.
When the user follows that link they go to the 'manage your booking' page and can change the details of their booking, but they can now reduce the number of nights below the minimum. After they've made changes to the number of nights they then click on 'book now', can this be changed to 'modify now' or 'change booking'?
I am using the multi step booking form, so they then are presented with all of the content that they would have on stage 2 of the initial booking process (but in a different order), making no reference to the payment they have already made or the difference in cost between the original booking and the modification. If they then click on the book now button they are then faced with the options to pay either their 20% deposit or in full. There is no reference to what they have already paid and also no reference to the rule that they can't pay a deposit if it's less than 28 days before the booking.
I haven't noticed it, but is the client able to cancel their booking via this route or any other route?
2) If visitor clicked on the edit link in the emails, then he will see the 'Change your booking' button. Please test it in the latest update of Booking Calendar.
For such situation better to not allow for visitors to edit or cancel own bookings (you can just remove the edit/cancel links from the email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page).
We will improve this functionality in future updates.
Kind Regards.
thanks for your reply. the plugin has updated, but there is no 'change you booking' button on the page the user is sent to. see screenshot - https://i.imgur.com/plDmxo8.jpg
Hello.
Is this custom button in your booking form ?
You need to have configuration of submit button at the Booking > Settings > Form page, like this: <p>[submit class:btn "Send"]</p>
Please send the exact link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue.
Thank you.
You are having the "Change your Booking" button at the second step of your wizard.
At the first step, button that you see is the button for going to the "Step #2" it's not the "Book now" button. it has only such title.
You need to rename this button to something like "Next" or "Go to next step", etc... you can do this at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
Kind Regards.
Thanks for this cool tool. I have three questions and did not find my answers in the board or FAQ.
1. I would like my imported bookings from my ICS to come in as approved, not pending. How can I do this?
2. I would like bookings made on wpbooking calendar to not eve show as pending until I approve them. I am getting spammers and folks who can't read asking general questions using this instead of my query form, and booking up dates that they don't intend to use.
3. I use this for booking an RV, much like a hotel room. So a booking is from noon on one day till 11am the next. Can I configured this in this tool?
Thanks.
Hello.
1) It's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions. You can activate this option "Auto approve bookings during import" at the Booking > Settings General page in "Auto cancellation / auto approval of bookings" section.
You can upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your existing version of the plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of the General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.
2) If you want to show the "Pending bookings" as available dates, then you can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in "Advanced" section.
Hello,
I'm testing your calendar.
I went through the FAQ, but can not show the calendar for 3 months, see here.
Here below the shortcode (used in Elementor):
[booking type=1 nummonths=3 options='{calendar months_num_in_row=3 width=568px cell_height=30px}' form_type='standard']
Thanks for your help.
Hello.
It's because of conflict with other booking plugin.
Please deactivate this plugin "motopress-hotel-booking-lite" and then test it again.
Kind Regards.
Ah yes indeed.
it also solves my other issue of synchronisation ...
Big thanks for your quick answer!
Hello,
I have manually add a reservation from the dashboard (15-16 April: dates are in red) and in the front-end, those 2 dates are still available for booking, see here.
I'm in time zone French.
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
Hello,
I have some questions:
- only paid versions support severall languages for the booking form and confirmation mails: which paid version should I use for that?
- which paid version should I use to:
* have the price appearing when the dates are selected (like in your demo here);
* have several rates available depending on the season and reservations during the week-end or the week?
Thanks for your support.
Hello.
1) You can configure the fields in different languages in the Booking Calendar Free version as well.
Example of configuration: First Name[lang=de_DE]Varname
Emails are also support several languages configurations.
Please check more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/several-languages/
2) The ability to show the total booking cost in booking form, after selecting the dates or some other options in the booking form, possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
You need to use this [cost_hint] shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page to show this total booking cost in real time depending from the selection of dates and some other options in booking form.
Test it here https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/
In case, if you need to set the different cost for the different number of selected days, (for example, set some discount, if visitor select 2 weeks), then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions via "Valuation days" cost configuration at Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#valuation-days
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/valuation-days-cost-video-overview/
"Valuation days" can apply for any day. Or in case if you need to apply it to a specific season, then it can depend only on the belonging "check in day" to a specific season. It means that, if you select 2 weeks, the "Valuation days" can apply costs only depending on the check-in day belonging to a specific season, even if some other days belong to another season. In other words, if you will have the days selected with season intersections, then you can have an issue with "Valuation days". Basically "Valuation days" is useful, in case, if you need to set some discount or higher cost depending on the number of selected days. For example if a visitor selects 7 or more days, then booking will have a 10% discount, etc...
What is the best calendar option which can be sycronised with the plugin for mobile use? Do you have an app, for booking calendar plugin maybe? Bacause on mobile orginising the bookings with wordpress is a bit difficult for the client, we could not sycronised with apple calendar because there was a problem with characters, and currently we use google calendar, but google always sending notifications to use worspace and sycronisation is not always works well.
Thank you

We do not have the mobile app for the Booking Calendar.

Import.
Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when a visitor opens your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically accessing this page with booking import shortcodes to start the import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly the system will start the import process and only then show the booking form, when someone visits your page.
You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/
Export.
Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/
Booking Calendar is generated .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some services (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into their own system, does not depend on the Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force the import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed for making imports.
Kind Regards.

( you can check how to edit files in WordPress menu in this article https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/how-edit-file-in-wp-menu/ )
then add this code to the bottom of this file:
.booking_form .booking_form_div { max-width: 870px; margin:0 auto; } .booking_form .booking_form_div .block_hints, .booking_form .booking_form_div .wpbc_structure_form { width:270px; margin:0 auto; } .booking_form .booking_form_div .block_hints{ width:340px; margin:10px auto; }
