  1. Thinking about purchasing the plugin - but not sure which version. My question now is, could you give me info on the upgrading process, when I scale and need a more expanded version? Is this possible or do I need to reinstall the plugin?

  2. Question. Does the booking plugin allow for wp site users to post and manage their own items for rent?

    Thanks in advance,
    Alan

    • Hello.
You need to check the Booking Calendar MultiUser version.

In Booking Calendar MultiUser version possible that each registered WordPress user (your owner) have own individual independent booking admin panel, and can see and manage only own booking resources and some other settings (other owners will not see the bookings from this owner, they can see only own bookings). Please check more here (at bottom of the page) https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/

Also each owner (user) will receive the emails about the bookings of the own service(s) or property (booking resource(s)) and can approve or decline them. Please note, that the each owner WordPress user) will have different individual calendar(s) with booking forms in the separate pages. Please retest it in the live demo. You can read more about the initial configuration of the Booking Calendar MultiUser version: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/

Please test the live demo of Booking Calendar Multiuser version here: https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/
Admin Panel of Multiuser version (here you can test several admin panels functionality): https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/admin-panel/

      Kind Regards.

  3. Hi, thanks for the great plugin we are using Booking Calendar Business Medium (1 site usage) for a bicycle and scuba hire shop and need to group the bicycles into categories and scuba courses into categories is there any way of doing this? How can we edit or move the ID for each resource? Are you developing a drag and Many thanks, Stephan @ atemrausch.com

    • Hello.
Booking Calendar in own interface does not have grouping functionality for booking resources. But you can insert the booking form for specific booking resource into any post or page. And this post or page can be in any categories. Using standard WordPress functionality.

Also plugin does not support drag and drop booking resources or bookings in calendar overview page.
But you can reassign new available booking resource to specific booking at the Booking Listing page.
      Kind Regards.

  4. Hi there,

Please help. I use the Business Medium version and say I have 4 rooms in 4 cities. How do I make the user choose between a city first and then see its availability? I added the 4 cities in the Resources table but not sure how to build from there.

    Thanks!

    • Hello.
Firstly, you can create 4 different booking resources (independent calendars) at the Booking > Resources page. Check more here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#booking-resources

And then you be able to insert booking forms for each of your booking resources into the posts or pages.
Please read more how easily insert booking form or availability calendar into a pages https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/inserting-booking-form/ or how manually configure Booking Calendar shortcodes in content of your pages: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-calendar-shortcodes/

Instead of insertion into different pages the booking forms for specific booking resource, you can also insert the selection of booking resources, like in this example: https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/

      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you! I understand. Insertion into different pages is not an option, the example is perfect - but how would I incorporate the select box from the example into my page?

        I've tried:

        [bookingselect label='Please select the resource:' form_type='standard' nummonths=1 type='1,2,3,4']

but it only outputs the actual text.

        • Hello.
Yes, it’s correct shortcode for selection of booking resources (calendars). But it available only in the paid versions. Because in Booking Calendar Free version available only one default booking resource.

In paid versions you can have different booking resources (calendars).
Please read the Booking Calendar version overview here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/
          Kind Regards.

          • I do use the paid version, the Business Medium. What am I missing?

            • Hello.
              1) please be sure that you have updated this version. To recheck what version do you using right now, you can do at the Booking > Settings General page in right side of this page. The instruction about how to make update of from Booking Calendar Free version to paid you can find here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/

              2) Please recheck that the booking resources with those ID from 1 to 5 exist at your system
The actual booking resources and those ID you can check at the Booking > Resources page

              3) Please try to reinsert the Booking Calendar shortcode at that page. Remove exist Booking Calendar shortcode then click on Booking Calendar icon (with calendar) in Edit toolbar and then in popup dialog select seletion booking resources tab, then select booking resources and configure others paramaters click on insert shortcode button and after this Update the page.
              Test it.

              4) If the issue still will exist then check about any conflicts.

Please try to deactivate one by one all your active plugins at the WordPress > Plugins menu and make testing after each plugin deactivation.

If its not help, please deactivate all your plugins and active the default WordPress theme. And then retest it again.

Otherwise please send the link to this page with this shortcode to test it.
              Kind Regards.

  5. I am building a new site for my client. She currently uses this Booking Calendar plug-in and loves it. I loaded the plug-in to her new site but is there any way to also import her existing bookings into the plug-in on the new site or will we need to manually enter them?

    • Hello.
Here is general info about migrate process.

According transfer of the Booking Calendar Data. Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool. Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.

      Kind Regards.

  6. Hi, is it possible to use a different method to select the dates instead of clicking on the calendar?

I would like that the customers could choose the dates from a drop down list. I couldn't find that shortcode to use it on the form.

I'm running the business small single site version.

    Thanks!!

    • Hello.
Unfortunately the different way of selection days via selectboxes does not available. It’s because during seletion in calendar is making checking about available and booked days and also exist different type of conditions for days seletion, which does not exist with selectboxes seletion.
But I will add to the todo list item about some type of such seletion also.
      Thank you.

  7. Hi!

We have an issue with our calendar, our costumers can only book weekly and when the check out day "over wrights" the check in day the price gets wrong (check in Saturday 15:00 check out 10:00 and the next costumer comes to check in at another costumers check out day). The weeks have different prices so when you choose the week after the price that shows is the price for the week before.
How can I specify the prices to half days at the end and the beginning of the week? Or is it another solution?

    Thank you

    • Hello.
Please note, in mouse over tooltip is showing cost for specific day, which you mouse over. So its even does not entire week or selection of days!

In your case you need the following configuration.
      - please open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and be sure that you have specified there cost per 1 day (and not the fixed cost).
      - open the Booking > Settings General page and deactivate showing cost per day in mouse over tooltip
      - open the Booking > Settings > Form page and in booking form use this shortcode [cost_hint] which will show total booking cost in real time, depend from selected days and some other options in your selectboxes or checkboxes. This feature available in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

P.S. Of course you need to reconfigure cost per booking resources at the Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page (based on fact that currently you set cost per day).
Check more info about rates: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#rates
      or "Valuation days": https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#valuation-days
      Kind Regards.

  8. Hello back again,

We have to re-buy the plugin but we have a problem with the current version Business Small SingleSite 7.1.1
If a client go on his smartphone to the calendar view and the click on a item sometimes the data goes up and sometimes down, when it goes down its not a problem you see straight away the information of that customer on top, but when its going up, then you have to scroll a long list of data ( because we use this to book rooms for a whole year to customers ) and this is not handy.
Is this fixt in the new version, or is there a trick to make this look ok in CSS?

    Regards,

    Marcel

    • Hello.

  9. Hi!
I have the following problem, I can not solve this. He gave my page as I rent an apartment. The site is multilingual. One of the languages in Hungarian is the currency of the forint, while the other is the English and the euro. How to link a reservation form with a booking calendar or if you like I can give two calendar reservations to a calendar. It is important that you do not have a different language in your appearance but also in the appearance and counting of currency.

    Thanks
    Peter

    • Hello.
      1) Booking Calendar support costs only in one currency. It can not make automatic currency exchange. Sorry.
So you can define some one default currency at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

      2) You can define booking form and emails in several languages. Please read more about how todo this here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/several-languages/

      Kind Regards.

        Please suggest.
        Thanks

        • Hello.
          1) Please try to change timezone, to some other ("later timezone") just to test if its resolve issue or not.
          2) Please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).
