Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $20 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $30 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of multi site usage versions higher on $50 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Each specific version of Booking Calendar can be single site usage version, developer or multi site usage version.
Single site usage version, possible to install and activate only at 1 specific website.
Developer edition version, possible to install and activate at 2 different websites. Its can be test (developer) server and live website.
Multi site usage version, possible to install and activate maximum on 5 different websites.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.     Just minor questions checking the behaviour :

    - Does it remove bookings before or after downloading ics ? It should do it after, this way if the ics url is bugged or non-responsive, you don't lose already synced bookings.
    - Does it remove bookings from the past ? Only future bookings should be removed before re-import.

      1) Sorry it's delete before download. Check how to fix it in section below.
      2) System delete (move to trash) all imported bookings, including past bookings.
      Because system delete such big amount of bookings, you need to be sure periodically to empty the trash. You need to click on "Empty trash" button at the Booking Listing page in Actions toolbar, because it's can be reason why you will have too large database, and sometimes reason of slowdown.

      -- Delete imported bookings after the downloading of the .ics feed, to prevent issue of deleteing of all imported bookings and having issue with downloading new .ics feed and new import.

    1. Is it possible to have 2 properties on a single calendar, where when one is booked, the other is no longer selectable?
    2. Can Forms have conditional fields? e.g. If Property A is selected, a specific field will be shown, but if Property B is selected a different field can be shown.

  3. Hi,

    I would like to send confirmation mails in diferent languages out of the "add Booking" part in the admin panel.

    I added a [lang=de_DE] and [lang=es_ES] Text in all Email parts in the settings.
    Using WPML and changing "Language Flags" did not do the trick.

    How can I get this right?

    • Hello.

      During creation of booking, the system will send an email in the language that you were active in the admin panel during making this action.

      You need to switch languages of the admin panel by clicking on the language option of specific translation plugin.

      Unfortunately, Booking Calendar does not support such a  "signature field"  and it is not possible to  add the canvas field to the Booking form. Sorry.

    It seems has conflicts on my site. So when the plugin is activated, the webiste can't get updated(e.g. click "Update" in the dashaboard, it saying there's an error). And if i deactivated the plugin, everything back to normal.

    1) Receive new booking
    2) set in manually to pending
    3) Set to confirmed, when to customer sends back the Email he receives after 2)

    But I can not find out, who to do that. New booking are already in state "pending" (but the customers do not received the pending Email). The General settings "auto approve", etc. are not checked.

    Any Idea?

      It’s have to be possible by default.
      In case if you just do not receive emails.
      Please note, Booking Calendar is use standard WordPress wp_mail function for sending emails. This function can be overridden by other plugins.

      The most probably you need to check the point #5 from this instruction and install WP Mail SMTP plugin which is 'sending emails via php' option and it can resolve that issue.

      • I/the customer receives all other emails. Also the "Pending"-Mail, if I "unapprove" (click on strickedtrhourgh circle.
        But the Email-Template calls "Pending" not "undo confirmation". Thats my problem.
        Because there are email-template for "new(customer)", "pending" and and confirmed, I assume there should be the possibility to have following status of a booking

        1) NEW
        2) PENDING
        3) CONFIRMED
        4) Declined/Confirmed.

        In our system it seems not no do the step new -> pending manually. All new bookings are already pending when they appear, so I do not understand the function of the Pending-Email.

        • Or asked in an other way: how can I realize the process with automated emails or how other users do that?

          1) Receive new booking --> Customer receives the confirmation email (This already works)
          2) I confirm the new booking as "Pending" --> customer receives an Email wich ex. has to send back, so the booking is valid (-> Customer receives the confirmation email (This already works)
          3) I get the confirmation and confirm the booking -> Customer receives the booking email (This already works)

          I will avoid fake booking from some persons.

            The "Pending" email template is sending only, when you switch "Approved" booking back to the "Pending" status.
            In other words, this "Pending" email sending only, if you click on "Pending" button for specific approved booking in the Booking Listing page.

            Pending email template does not send during creation of the booking, during creation of the booking are sending New (visitor) and New (admin) email templates. And yes, by default this booking has pending status.
            When you approve booking, then "Approved" email is sending.

            You can NOT "confirm the new booking as "Pending"" because this booking after creation already have the pending status, and you can set pending status only for the approved booking. Such situation possible, if you do not receive the payment for the booking, or after phone call from visitor, or in some other situation.

                Confirmation of the booking it’s “Approving” of the booking. You can click on “Approve” button at the Booking Listing page and then “Approved” email will be send to the visitor.

    Version 8.8

    Most of my emails for bookings are bouncing, how can this be fixed. It only started happening this year I think. Never used to be an issue.

    It is also not an issue for all emails only about 50% of them.

    E.g:
    Hi. This is the qmail-send program at vm03-marty.h4ahosting.com.
    I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
    This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

    :
    169.239.218.2 failed after I sent the message.
    Remote host said: 550 41.86.105.127 is not allowed to send mail from homeop*******own.co.za. Please see the SPF record, with scope mfrom, identity in**@homeop*******own.co.za, and ip 41.86.105.127
