Please, feel free to propose new ideas or new features, which you desire to see in future releases of Booking Calendar Plugin.

  1. It would be great if an editor could easily block out periods of time himself, without admin privileges. This way, they can't change important settings but can manage their availability. I am using this for managing speaking engagement bookings for a non profit, with no budget, so I have tried to set it up so it is entirely autonomous. The problem is that the only way they can block out sections now, is to select multiple dates and fill out the forms, or I have to give them admin privileges and they block out a section starting from today, or they can block certain days of the week. What I need is for someone to be able to easily select a bunch of dates, and just mark them unavailable without being an admin (just an editor), and without having to fill out the form or approve it. Ideally this would be available on the free version.

  2. Mutiples ideas:

    Possibility to hide a field from the user in the reservation form so the admin can add more information and send them to the user when the reservation is accepted

    Have a pre-filled field in all reservation made in the resource on the edit note in the booking listing so we can have fixed information ( like name of the guard,date of payment etc ...)

    Or even further personalize like the reservation form with what we want ( text aera, dropdown etc...) and have the possibility to print them .

  3. Since system doesnt has an audit trail log, I strongly suggest that you have more shortcode to set for adding in the email that is send out such as:

    1) login user display name
    2) login user first name
    3) login user last name
    4) login user email address
    5) login user profile picture

    This will help to trace any criminal act based on their action on the booking such as create/edit/delete/cancel/etc....

    Besides that, I also strongly suggest that email in the setting should have and option to send out based on login user email.

    If possible do provide an option to leave the email sent "from" blank and to let system use their user email to send out instead of a set email that is share by many reservation. If that field is fill up with that email only use the set email else should have a blank option to use defauly login user email.

    I strongly suggest these because my employer now has already gone into a mess where they have to involve police to investigate an incident where bookings are all deleted and could not trace who did it.

  4. Think it would be really good if within the shortcodes there was one that meant that the booking resource can be created when the shortcode fires.

    For example below the ID tag would take the name of a field or could be labelled "create" in which case what happens is that when the import happens it checks first to see whether or not the "resourcename" field is present as a name in the booking resources and if not it creates it. If it does discover the booking resource it imports into that booking resource.

  5. I would love to have an option to print reports, or print all day listings, so I have a list of my rented rooms.

    It would be very useful to me if it were possible to show only the accepted bookings in the public calendar. In that way multiple users could request a booking in the same period. I can then assign the booking to the user I want that has priority and show this booking in my calendar. For example, the user requesting a booking for 10 days has priority over one requesting a booking for 5 days.
    Now I have the option either to show nothing in the calendar, with the result that people can request bookings on dates that are already given. Or to show the accepted bookings AND the requests. Users then cannot request a booking on dates that are already subject to another request, which should be possible. Difficult situation...

    In my first impression, Its quite good, featured.
    I just have not found how to set just only the subcribers on my page can book something.
    If the plugin can do this thing, it will be perfect.

      1) If you need that only specific users can make the bookings, so you can insert the booking form into the password protected page (Its standard functionality of WordPress), and then inform password to your users, for access to this page for making new bookings.

  9. Hi There, I'm a WP developer and I give my services to a lot of small business that uses WP framework. Two of these clients, are hotel company ( and, For to the first client, I'm using your free Booking plugin, but after experiment how this plugin help the reservation workflow, we are interested in buy the pro version. But the only problem is your plugin no accpet any brazillian payment gateways integration. So, we have a lot of companys that offer a complete documentation to develop any integration, like Pagseguro, PayU, MercadoPago, So, is very important if you consider develop and integrate to Booking plugin any of these gateways. (we prefer) (most popular) (can work with PinPad and POS) ( other popular gateway)

    So, if is possible, I always will indicate this Booking plugin for my clients.

      Currently this is not possible in actual versions. We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin.

      The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support Stripe, PayPal (Standard and PayPal Pro Hosted Solution (please note, PayPal PayPal Pro Hosted Solution its does not the same as PayPal Pro)), Authorize.Net, Sage Pay, iDEAL via Sisow and iPay88 payment gateways integration, other payment systems are not supporting yet. You can configure and activate it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

      If you want to make the integration of your payment system by yourself, so you will be able to check how was integrated exist payment system in plugin like Stripe payment gateway. Please check more about this here:

      Please note, if you will modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guaranteed the correct work of plugin and do not support it.

    I am interested in the mulituser edition for a rental site. It sounds really interesting.
    Question :
    - can users select several time slots at once when adding a booking ?
    For exemple, if they are offered the choice 1pm-3pm or 3pm-5pm, could they choose both ?

    Related question : could they pick their own time slots : date in/date out. for ex: june 13th, from 1pm to 4pm ?

      2) Yes it’s possible to use in booking form the start and end times.

      The ability to book for the specific times only possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

      You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the “shortcode generator” on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode. ~ You can use one”timerange” (timeslots) or “start time” and”end time” selections or”starttime” and “duration”of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here

      You can test the bookings for the specific time-slots in action on the live demo of Business Small version (which is configured by default for the bookings of specific time-slots) here: Other live demo you will need to reconfigure.
