  1. Thank you again for your reply.
    1) Got it. We'll need to figure out a way around this since we specially chose this plugin because it retains the search dates up to the booking form, which is great UX and better for CRO.
    2) Would it be hard to implement? It seems like a simple action to prevent the system from restricting content on the direct link where the shortcode is and showing only the logged-in user's bookings

    • Hello.
We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

      • That would be great, we'd really need to implement it asap. Any hint of how we can achieve this in the meantime?

And also, how can we add number of children to the search availability form? (just like there is [search_visitors])

        Best,
        Samuel

          • 1) I don't understand how I can apply the number of visitors that one booking resource can accept based on its capacity so that it gets filtered by "number of guests" selected on the availability search.
I've followed what it says here but doesn't seem to do anything.
            https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/capacity-concept/

            2) And also, how can the maximum number of visitors be divided by the number of adults + the number of children.

            • Hello.
              1) In the search form you need to have configuration similar to this:
              <div class="wpdevelop"> <div class="form-inline well"> <label>Check in:</label> [search_check_in] <label>Check out:</label> [search_check_out] <label>Guests:</label> [search_visitors] [search_button] </div> </div>

In the booking form at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page you can have the selection of the number of visitors similar to this:
              <c> <l>Adults:</l><br />[select visitors "1" "2" "3" "4" "5"] </c>

Then open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Capacity" section and enabale this option "Booking Quantity Control"
and activate for the option: "Quantity field name" your "visitors" field

              2) In actual ,version of Booking Calendar it is not possible to combine adults an children selection fields relative to the capacity for booking resources.
We will add improvement of this feature in the future updates of Booking Calendar .

              Kind Regards.

              • 1) I tried that but didn't work, will check if there is something I'm doing wrong.

                2) That would be great.

                3) In the general settings I selected a min and max Days selection number, however, in the availability search it is only applying the minimum selected and ignoring the maximum selected. In the booking forms is working correctly but if users get there through the availability search they are able to book for more days than they are supposed to. How can we fix this?

                4) Is there a way to apply min and max days selection to availability search pages individually?

                • Hello.
                  2) You can deactivate automatic days selection in the booking form after redirection from the search form, so you can use the conditions of the booking form in this case. Open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Search page and enable this option "Disable days selection"
                  3) For the search form it is not possible to apply the min/max days selection individually.
                  Kind Regards.

                  • Hi.
                    2) I understand but this is not what we want. We need for the availability search to respect the maximum days selection setting so the users cannot search for longer periods of time which just woudn't make sense. It does follow the minimum days selection stting but not the maximum, how can we make it follow both? Best, Samuel

                    • Hello.
                      Please make this fix.

Please open this file ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/js/biz_l.js

( you can check how to edit files in WordPress menu in this article https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/how-edit-file-in-wp-menu/ )

                      then find this code:

                      if ( checkInDate <= date ){ return [true, 'cal4date-' + class_day + ' ' + additional_class + ' ']; // Available } else { return [false, '']; // Unavailable } } else { return [true, 'cal4date-' + class_day + ' ' + additional_class + ' ']; // Available } }

and replace it to this code:

                      var checkOutDate = jQuery.datepick.parseDate( wpbc_search_form_dates_format, jQuery( '#booking_search_check_in' ).val() ); var days_interval_max = getMaxRangeDaysSelections(); if ( days_interval_max > 0 ) days_interval_max--; checkOutDate.setDate( checkOutDate.getDate() + days_interval_max ); if (( checkInDate <= date )&&( checkOutDate >= date )){ return [true, 'cal4date-' + class_day + ' ' + additional_class + ' ']; // Available } else { return [false, '']; // Unavailable } } else { return [true, 'cal4date-' + class_day + ' ' + additional_class + ' ']; // Available } } function getMaxRangeDaysSelections(){ if ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'dynamic' ) return bk_2clicks_mode_days_max; if ( bk_days_selection_mode == 'fixed' ) return bk_1click_mode_days_num; return 365; }

Please do not forget to clear the browser cache before testing these changes.

Disclaimer. Unfortunately we can not start, right now, some personal customization or custom development, because we have almost no free time.
Check more about, what support we are providing here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
                      Thank you for understanding.
Please note, if you modify the source code of the Booking Calendar, we will not guarantee the correct work of the plugin and do not support it.

  2. Hello!
I have configured my booking form in every detail. Now I wish to install the same form (configured in the exact same way) on my other sites. How can I export/save my form settings, so I don't have to configure the form all over again. And again...

Thank you in advance for support!
    Best regards / Erik

    • Hello.
Here is general info about migrate process (in case if you will not make fully identical transfer).

      1) You need to inform us about old and new url of websites for your Booking Calendar version.

      2) You need to transfer the Booking Calendar files from the ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder} of old website to new website.

According transfer of the Booking Calendar Data.

      3) Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/4425kRMaFso

      4) Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/EZ4jxJDlTFs

Helpful tip from video guide. In the old database you need to execute this SQL in your phpMyAdmin tool.

      SELECT * FROM `wp_options` WHERE `option_name` LIKE 'booking%'

After this you can export SQL file for importing in your new database.

      5) You can make such migrate from one to other website only once. And of course you need to delete the Booking Calendar version at old website.

P.S. Please note, unfortunately we can not provide migrate process at the customers websites, because of security reasons.
Please check more here about what support we are providing: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
      Thank you for understanding.

    • Hello.
Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "batcache ", "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with a booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      Kind Regards.

  4. Hi there!

I have a problem. From android phones, the autofill automaticaly adding email adresses to the city adress field and because of that we receving incomplete forms from users. Is there a way to avoid autofill, or a code to prevent the email at sign at that specific field?

    Thanks for your answer

    • Hello.
What version of Booking Calendar do you use?
Please be sure to use latest update 9.9.1
You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

Also try to deactivate this option "Auto fill fields" at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Form Options" section.

      Kind Regards.

  5. Hi, is there any way to allow for the front end timeline view to only display bookings from the logged-in user (rather than displaying all the booking information for all users)? I want to have a front-end timeline that our users can use to review their bookings/the status of those bookings after their initial submission.

Also, is there any way to display the user's entire booking submission when the user clicks on their booking slot on the timeline? So they can review any of the additional fields they would have filled out upon the original request.

      • Hi, I tried to use the tutorial given, but I'm receiving the message:
"This page can only be accessed through links in emails related to your booking." when trying to access the page with the shortcode.

When I try to investigate more, I can see that I don't have the same options available in my settings as those shown in the video.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

        • Hello.
Yes, you can not access this page directly.
You can access this page only via links from the emails. Inside of the emails at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Emails page you need to use this shortcode: [visitorbookingslisting] for inserting link to access this page.

Such links in the emails will have secret hash to make identification the bookings for this user.
Without valid such secret hash system does not know what bookings to show. And that's why it is not possible to simply open the page with that listing shortcode.
          Kind Regards.

          • Hi,

Thanks, I see. So there's no way to display the user's bookings without the user navigating to the page from their emails?
Please let me know, thank you!

  6. Hi! Is it possible to charge with the booking for extra services such as transportation from and to the accomodation? This should be an optional service. I assume it goes together with "Adding additional costs of some additional charges of selection in select boxes or check boxes in booking form (tax, cleaning, breakfast, visitors selection, excursion, etc…)". Do you have more details on this?

    Best

    Oly

  7. Why Billing Form Fields doesen't work with PayPAl credit/debit card?
I have to reinsert all data in the paypal form.........

    • Hello.
If you mean about ability of auto-fill the billing form fields in card section, when you click on PayPal pay via card button, so then yes, it's not auto filled in actual version of Booking Calendar.
We will add improvements to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.

    • Hello.
      Booking Calendar plugin is supporting

      - import of events via .ics feeds from Google Calendar ( or Airbnb or any other calendar that support .ics format, like iCal application)

      - and export bookings to .ics feeds (files), which possible to import in Google Calendar (or Airbnb, Booking.com, HomeAway, TripAdvisor, VRBO, FlipKey and any other calendar that uses .ics format ).

Please read more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/#sync

      Import.
Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically access this page with booking import shortcode to start import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly system will start import process and only then show booking form, when someone visit your page.
In case if you are having some issue of not ability to import new events, then check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/ics-importing-issue/

You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/

      Export.
Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/
Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.

  8. When client arrive in checkout, the paypal button show a lot of fields. I need to reduce the number of that. What can I do?

PS: the search function of the help section does not work correctly. You can't find anything.....

    • Hello.
      1) It’s depends from PayPal.
It provides different options for the customers from different countries.
So sometimes there can be different buttons, such as PayPal, Pay via card, etc....
You can check in your PayPal account if you can disable some of such buttons, like card payments.

It is not possible to disable it from Booking Calendar admin panel.

      2) If you have any issues with showing search results, so then please check this FAQ article: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-search-results/

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/search-availability-video-overview/

      Kind Regards.

      • This is what PayPal support says:

        • Hello.
Currently it's not possible to configure it from the settings of the plugin.
We will add improvements to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.
          Kind Regards.

      • the search function of the help section of THIS site (https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/) does not work correctly.....

        any search results

"This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help."

        • Hello.
There is not some solutions or previous fixes relative the PayPal showing buttons, because it was integrated not far ago (since update 9.8).
So currenlty there is no some real solution.
In case if you want to make your own modification, then you can do this here: ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder}/inc/gateways/paypal_std_co/wpbc-gw-paypal_std_co.php

          function content:
          public function get_payment_form( $output, $params, $gateway_id = '' ) { ... }

  9. I'd like to make a page that logged in users can open, see all their own bookings and cancel from there. Now you have to look up the email of a booking in order to be able to cancel.
    Is this possible?

    • Hello.
      Currently it is not possible.
We will add improvements to this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of the plugin, but I can not say when this feature will be implemented. Sorry.
