If my subscription for updates has expired or is canceled, will the plugin continue to work?

Yes, the plugin will continue to function as before, but you won't receive free updates for Booking Calendar.

While the plugin should work with your current WordPress version, there is a potential risk of conflicts with future WordPress updates. We can't predict the changes in future WordPress updates, and older plugin versions may experience issues.

To ensure the best performance, prevent potential compatibility or security issues, and keep your bookings safe, we strongly recommend keeping your Booking Calendar up-to-date and maintaining an active subscription for the latest updates and support.

Upon the initial purchase of the plugin, you can request free updates for your Booking Calendar version (if updates available) within 6 months after initial purchase of plugin. Additionally, alongside this purchase for receiving the latest update, you can activate an optional subscription at a discounted rate.

Optional Subscription for Updates:

1) When purchasing the plugin initially, you have the option to select or deselect an optional subscription for updates and support, billed every 6 months. For the first 6 months after the initial purchase, updates are provided for free. You can cancel this subscription at any time.

2) If you did not select the subscription for updates and support during the initial purchase, or if your subscription was canceled or expired, and you later need to extend the period of support and updates for the next 6 months, it will cost 50% of the original cost of the Booking Calendar version, without any additional discounts applied. Additionally, the system offers further discounts for subsequent subscription charges every 6 months.

However, the initial charge for this update is 50% of the original Booking Calendar cost ( without any additional discounts applied ).

Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $5 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $10 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of multi site usage versions higher on $15 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Booking Calendar offers a range of versions and editions to suit different needs. It's important to distinguish between the versions, which determine the functionality, and the editions, which specify the number of websites on which you can use the plugin.

Each version can be obtained in different editions, which dictate how many websites you can use the plugin on. The editions include:

Single Site Usage: This edition allows installation and activation on a single, specific website. It's suitable for those who have only one website to manage.

Developer Edition: With the developer edition, you can install and activate the plugin on up to 2 different websites. This is useful for testing on a developer server and a live website.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. You can able to edit the exist bookings, add comments to the bookings, print and export bookings to the CSV format, etc… Please check at the feature list and live demo of this version, full list of features of this version.

Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.   1. Hello

    I have a problem. When a customer changes his booking, it automatically/default approve the changes and make the booking “green” in the system. I dont want that. I want it to be my decision, if the booking changes ca be approved or declined. So I want it to be “yellow” in the backend until I approve or decline it.

    How Can I ger back to this setting again?

      Curently it is not possible in the actual versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry. We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin, but I can not say when exactly it’s will be implemented. Thank you for understanding.

      But you can disable to modify the booking for the users, if the booking was approved before. You can activate this option “ Change hash after the booking is approved” at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in “Manage bookings ” section.

          1) When some booking created in the calendar, this booking has by default the pending status.
          It's was always since creation of the plugin. You can approve this booking, or completely delete / move to trash such booking.

          2) In your previous message you was conditioned "...When a customer changes his booking...". If the issue with approved status after creation of the new booking, then please be sure that you have deactivated the "Auto approve" status for all incoming bookings at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Auto Cancellation / Auto Approval" section.
          Also Disable option "Auto approve/decline" option at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Payment Gateways page in Sections of your enabled payment systems, such as Stripe or PayPal.

          3) But in case if you approved the booking, and hash of the booking was not changed, an the visitor has the old link for the booking modification (which he received during creation of the booking), then he will be able to modify own booking, which was previously approved by you (or auto approved relative to point #2).

          Probably here some misunderstanding about the names of booking statuses and then the auto approve appears.

      Please recheck for any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache", "WP Fastest Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with a booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      Unfortunately, it is not available.

      The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.Net, Opayo - Elavon (former SagePay), iDEAL Buckaroo and iPay88 payment gateways integration (also plugin support showing text info for payment by cash and bank transfer - its only show text info but does not connect to any bank system), other payment systems are not supporting yet. You can configure and activate it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

  2. I have the multi step booking form on the Hartley and Rose website, an example property is https://hartleyandroseholidays.co.uk/index.php/properties/rixdale-studio/

    Problem at the moment is that the user selects their dates in step 1, they enter all of their contact details and pets etc at step 2, then when they click on book now the next screen gives them their booking id etc and the booking details, then there's a paypal button at the bottom of this page. Nearly all users don't get as far as the paypal button and so no-one is paying a deposit for their booking, the client just receives the booking confirmation email with now payment. Want to be able for the user to actually pay for their booking before it is confirmed to them.

    Is this possible and if so how?

    • Hello.
      1) you can deactivate “New (booking)” email notification at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Emails page.
      So to have only approved email notification.

      2) Booking is created before payment process in any case.
      You need to activate the auto “approve / cancel bookings” option at the Booking > Settings > Payment page in Stripe or PayPal section.

      Also you can activate auto cancellation of pending bookings that have no successfully paid status after a specific amount of time. You can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in the "Auto cancellation / approving" section.

      So if the booking is not approved, and do not have the successfully paid status, this booking can be auto canceled after a specific amount of time.

      Or you can even activate to show the "Pending bookings as available dates" - you can activate this option at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

      But you need to be sure that all "good" bookings have to be approved or have successfully paid status.

      If you have activated the “auto cancellation” pending bookings that does not have successfully paid status during specific period of time, so then please recheck that you have correctly set time-zone at the WordPress > Settings > General page. Otherwise it’s possible that the time of creation of booking was already in the past and you have reached the time limit for auto cancelation of such bookings.

      Also if you set to low time interval of auto cancelation, like 5 minutes and client not in the time about the payment, then it’s can be also the reason of this issue. Please increase time of auto cancelation at the Booking > Settings General page.

      • Thanks for the reply, but I can't see how any of these things will actually help to get payment for a booking.

        When the user has hit the 'book now' button they get this https://snipboard.io/EicP5M.jpg, it's then 3 complete 'scrolls' until they get to the paypal button. Is it possible to change the order of the content on this page?

        For example, could 'Your booking id: 596566' be changed to 'Your Reservation id: 596566'? or even remove that completely.

          1) Currently it is not possible to customize this section.
          This feature (configuration of confirmation window) exist in our TODO list, and likely it's will be implemented in one of the next future updates.

          2) The only thing that you can do now, it's is to hide some sections with confirmation window with CSS. For example for hidding Booking ID, please use this fix.
          Please add this CSS to your Theme Editor settings.

          You can enable this option and then configure what text to show in confirmation window.

  3. Is it possible to book regular events (e.g. xyz every Sunday from 18:00 to 24:00) with one shortcode?

      1) I am not sure that fully understand about what exactly functionality do you need with this.
      If you need to have ability to book 6 hours, while you selected the 18:00 so in this case, you can use the start time and duration of time fields in the booking form (it is possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions).       2) But in case if you just need to define such different events that available specific number of times during a year and all other times set as unavailable and when visitor select available time the system must book exact this event time, then by default it is not possible. Sorry.

    1. Is there an option to make the booking multi step?
    2. Is it possible in booking a customer choose in dropdown and will depend the price of room?
    3. Is this doable for booking a 1st floor, 2nd floor or whole floor but they will not have a double booking? Example There is an apartment that have 1st and 2nd floor, customer can choose which floor they will book, if customer will book 1st floor the 2nd floor is still available on that date vice versa, but when customer to choose to book the whole apartment both 1st and 2nd floor will not be available.

      1) Please open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page and in toolbar select "Wizard (several steps)" form template and click on "Reset button". Please note, in the live demos, such form template will not work, because it is required some JavaScript in the booking form, and it's disabled in the live demos, because of security reasons for public demo.

      3) It’s possible to make such a configuration with aggregate parameter.

      I will explain it in an example of booking separate rooms and the entire house.

      Please note, all such separate properties will have separate booking forms with calendars at the front-end side of your website.
      It means that you can book an entire house, or specific room in a separate booking form.

      So in case if you want to show as unavailable some dates or times in all calendars (booking resources), if some booking was made in only one calendar (booking resource), then it’s possible to configure it with "aggregate" parameter in the Booking Calendar shortcode ( it's possible in all paid versions of Booking Calendar). This parameter makes the dates in the calendar unavailable if these dates were booked in some other booking resources.

      Example of configuration:

      Booking resources at the Booking > Resources page:

      - House ( ID = 3 )
      - Room #1 ( ID = 4 )

      And you need to insert the Booking Calendar shortcodes into the pages like this

      - House
      [booking type=3 aggregate='4;5' ]

      - Room #1 ( ID = 4 )

      ....

      If some rooms will be booked for a specific date(s) or time, these dates/time will be unavailable in the House calendar.
      And if House will be booked for a specific date(s), then in all Rooms (booking forms), these dates also will be unavailable.

        What we need to accomplish in booking. There is 1 apartment and there is 1st and 2nd floor.

        Step 1: Ask customer if they are living or not living in the city where the apartment is. Price will be depend which customer will select. Example if customer select he is living the city the price of 1st floor will be $100, if customer select he is NOT living the city 1st floor will be $150.

        Step 2: Asking customer if what specific date and time they want to book and if 1st floor or 2nd floor or whole apartment

        Step 3: Customer details

        Step 4: Checkout

          1) For ability to use the aggregate parameters in the Booking Calendar shortcodes, you will be need to have selection of the "1st floor or 2nd floor or whole apartment" as the first step, and then depends from this selection redirect customer to specific page with booking form relative to specific apartment or specific floor.

          2) And inside of the booking form, you can have the selection of the "living or not living", then selection of the dates and times, and fill the booking details.

          3) For defining additional cost depends from selection of the "living or not living" option, you need to use the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
          In the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions possible to configure additional costs for selected options in the select boxes or check boxes (such options can be hidden and checked by default). It's useful in case, if you need to add the tax cost or cleaning fee or any other additional cost for the booking. You can configure it at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page.               1) It’s about the capacity of booking resources. But you can not control what child booking resources will be booked. It’s defined automatically based on priority of child booking resources, when you submit the booking for parent booking resource.

              2) yes, it’s possible to define addional cost at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page.

              If you need to set some additional cost for the booking, depending from selected options in the select-boxes or checkboxes in your booking form, so then it’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

  6. How do I stop getting a 429 error when filling out the booking form?

    - The calendar shows a single month
    - Users choose a day, then available times and capacity is shown with [capacity_hint]
    - Capacity and time is based on a "weekday-condition"
    - The user then selects the number of visitors via: [select* people class:visitors_selection "0" "1" "2" "3" "4" "5" "6" "7" "8" "9" "10" "11" "12" "13" "14"]
    - That shows the cost with: [additional_cost_hint]
    - And then additional details are collected in a number of fields below
    - When entering information in the fields too quickly, a 429 comes up
    - These can be "ok"d and filling of the form can continue but the 429 errors continue to show up

      1) Please be sure to update your version of Booking Calendar to the latest update 10.1.2
      You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/
      After updating, clear all minimized CSS and JavaScript files in your cache plugin, like in WP Optimize, etc...

      2) Please recheck your error.log in your server configuration, about any relative errors. If you can not find error.log file, please contact support of your hosting company about helping in finding this file.

      It can be like some server restrictions or server capacity issue.

  7. I have a kayak guide business about to get licensed.

    I will have up to 4 kayaks to rent per day.
    2 time slots (7am-11am and 3pm-7pm)
    100.00 per kayak rental with a $25 deposit.

  8. I purchased the medium business version last night and I have not gotten an email to be able to setup the paid version. It could be possible that I transposed my email address {CUTTED}eats464@gmail.com and had a 646 at the end but I can't be sure and my receipt does not have the email address on it.
