Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $20 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $30 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Each specific version of Booking Calendar can be single site usage version, developer or multi site usage version.
Single site usage version, possible to install and activate only at 1 specific website.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.   1. Hi is it possible to duplicate a Resource? I need to add a new one with roughly the same settings/costs/season filters etc. It would be ideal if I could just copy the existing one.

    • Hello.
      Unfortunately it’s does not possible to make duplication of booking resource.

      But you can edit (set availability or rates or “Valuation days” cost) for several booking resources at once. Please open the Booking > Resources > Availability page or Booking > Resources > Cost and rates page, then select multiple booking resources and click on “Availability” or “Rate” button on one of selected booking resource. At next screen you will be able to edit specific setting for several booking resources.

    (I cutted out everything before htdocs) And our custom-made-forms seemed to disappear! Please help..!

    • Hello.

      Its seems like previously you was saved some custom form with an issue (was some error during saving), or you are having some plugin with restrictions about saving this data.
      Do you have some exist custom forms, that you have created previously ?

      Please try to reset your exist custom forms (in case, if you was previously saved with errors your custom form).
      Here is possible workaround about this, its will remove all your exist custom forms (and you will be need to create them again).

    I have your plugin on several european websites, i was wondering if your system is ready for the new rules after the 14. september with Strong Customer Authentication(SCA)? i am using Stripe on all my sites.

      We have implemented the Stripe integration with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules in the Booking Calendar plugin ( https://wpbookingcalendar.com/) , already .

      Its available in the latest update 8.6 of Booking Calendar. So you need to update your version of Booking Calendar to the latest update 8.6 of Booking Calendar or newer. You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

      For activation of Stripe integration with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) rules its required to open the Booking > Settings > Payment page and activate Stripe v.3.0 integration.

  6. Hi is it possible to round up the cost of the booking to the nearest £? Our client has their prices per week but in order to do what we need it to do, we have to enter a cost per day. However this doesn't always work. For a £645 week (Fri-Fri) this works out as £80.625/day (645/8). Rounded to the nearest penny the system would see this as £80.62. If I chose that week on the booking calendar, I would be charged £644.96 (80.62*8), but it needs to be £645.

    • I can see in Settings > Payment > General there's an option for Currency format > Number of decimal points. But if I set this to 0, it rounds up the cost per day to the nearest £, which throws off the total booking cost and shows it much higher than it should be. I want to be able to just round up the total booking cost only.

      I'm also taking a 30% deposit so if there is a way to round up the total cost figure, is this deposit amount calculated based on the original cost or the new rounded cost?

        1) You need to enter cost per booking resource (as rates), like this: £ 80.625 instead of this: £ 80.62.
        So then during calculation total booking cost, its will show correct cost 645

        2) The only one place, where you can round the cost of booking, its to set how many decimal points to show, you can configure it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

  7. How can I add down Deposit payments and balance payments to the "comment change line" in the booking overwiew? Whole left in the field where "Amount" is only the total amount is noted. In the help video it looks as if the amounts are inserted there automatically. I just do not know how to do it

      1) Firstly you need to activate and configure the deposit amount to pay in the Booking Calendar.

      2) Here is little instruction about MANUAL sending payment request for payment balance (rest from the sum).

      Please read firstly this article about the correct configuration of the "payment link" : http://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/configure-editing-cancel-payment-bookings-for-visitors/

      Then open the Booking > Settings > Emails page and configure and set active the "Payment request" email.

      At the admin panel (if you was activated deposit payment) at the booking listing page for the specific booking you will see in the cost field the FULL cost, but inside of the "notes section" (you can activate it by pressing the note button at the right side of the each section), you will see the description similar to this:

      Total cost: $135.00 / deposit: $54.00, balance: $81.00 / - 11.11.2019

      If you are want to request from the visitor to pay THE SPECIFIC sum, you are need to make these steps:

      a) Edit the cost of the booking, and enter the sum, which will show at the payment form.
      You are need to change the cost and then press the save button to save the new cost.

      b) Press the send payment request button to send the email with link to the payment form for the specific booking.

  8. I've set up the free version to allow people to book appointments at a trade show.

    Its set up so that there the day is broken into 15 minutes appointments. On one day they will finish at 6pm but on the final day they finish at 5pm. Therefore I've made bookings whilst logged in using "Add bookings" in the dashboard for those final slots on the final day.

    However I can still book these slots when I book through the website page. They are still available. When I try and book these slots whilst logged in from the "Add booking" page on the dashboard these slots are greyed out and unavailable.

    What am I doing wrong?

    • Hello.
      1) If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the "Advanced section", please be sure that you have not activated this option: "Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s)". This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.
      This option "Use pending days as available" must be unchecked, as well.

      If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like "WP Super Cache" or "W3 Total Cache". If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      2) But in your case, instead of timeslots, probably better to use start time and end time fields for the booking start at specific time at one day and end at specific date with other end time. Its possible only in the Booking Calendar Business Small or higher versions.

      The ability to book for the specific times possible in the Booking Calendar Business Small / Business Medium versions (and in higher versions for booking resources with capacity =1). In lower versions of Booking Calendar (including free version), possible to make bookings for specific times only for specific restricted time-slots.

      Please note if you will make the booking for the specific timeslot, this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors for that selected date in current specific calendar.

      You can configure the timeslots selections on the Booking > Settings > Form page. Please use the "shortcode generator" on the right side of that page for the correct generation of the shortcode.

      You can use "start time" and"end time" selections or "starttime" and "duration"of time selections shortcodes or even start time and end time entering shortcodes. Please read more about the booking form fields configuration here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/booking-form-fields/

          You are using the booking form (without calendar) shortcode, in your case, you need to use the booking form with calendar shortcode for showing all previous booked timeslots.
          Example of shortcode:

          Available in Business Large / MultiUser versions

          this [bookingform ...] shortcode available only in the Booking Calendar Business Large or higher version and possible to use only for the bookings for the FULL day(s) at booking resources with specific capacity.

  9. I am not getting the payment to work. Have followed directions and have everything set up correctly using Strip and payment and payment is failing.

    • Hello.

      1) Please be sure that you have activated the "Stripe" payment option v.3 at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

      Please be sure that the cost of the booking higher than 0.

      Also if you have set Stripe to use as "live" payment (not test) so then you need to be sure that your website was using HTTPS connection and not the HTTP. Its requirenment from the Stripe.

      2) In case, if you activated old Stripe v.1 at the Booking > Settings > Payment page, so then you need to be sure that you have assigned to all "billing form fields" specific field from the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Payment page in (right side of the page).

  10. Hello there,
    I recently created a new website for a local library, and purchased your Booking Calendar plugin. Even though I tested the functionality well on my own devices, after the site went live my client is saying a certain feature is NOT working for her (or for her staff).

    When using the booking calendar live on their site (via the browser) they hover over the little clock icon on the desktop and it correctly pops up the "Booked Times". OK so far.
    However, when trying to do the same from their mobile phones or tablets, and they put their finger down on the little clock icon (and hold for a few seconds) -- they are NOT getting the popup that shows them the Booked Times.

    Is there a fix for this?

    I have an older (discontinued) version of a Samsung Galaxy phone, and it works fine for me.
    But according to my client the "Booked Times" popup is not working on any of these devices:
    iPhone 8, software version 12.4,
    tablet is an iPad mini 2 software version 12.4.1,
    also not working on a Samsung Galaxy J7v

    • Hello.
      The "timeslots" hint, is not working at some specific mobile devices, because in some devices such hover over day is detected as days selection.
      But when some visitor at mobile device is selecting day, so then the booked time-slots become unavailable for selection in the booking form, even if the popup hint is not showing. We will add this feature to the TODO list for improving it in future updates of plugin.
