Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $20 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $30 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of multi site usage versions higher on $50 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Each specific version of Booking Calendar can be single site usage version, developer or multi site usage version.
Single site usage version, possible to install and activate only at 1 specific website.
Developer edition version, possible to install and activate at 2 different websites. Its can be test (developer) server and live website.
Multi site usage version, possible to install and activate maximum on 5 different websites.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. You can able to edit the exist bookings, add comments to the bookings, print and export bookings to the CSV format, etc… Please check at the feature list and live demo of this version, full list of features of this version.

Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. Booking Calendar MultiUser - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus each registered WordPress user of your site can have independent, individual, own booking admin panel. It's mean that each regular registered WordPress user can see only OWN booking resources and bookings and can configure the own booking form fields and email templates, own payment form integration data and costs of booking resources as some other settings... In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.   1. Dear sir/madam, i want to use the [deposit_hint] code on the "payment request" email. So i can send to some customers i choose that they need to pay a deposit. But i dont want the deposit amount to be written on the [content] form. Is that possiblel?

    • Hello.
      You need to be sure that you was used this shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page. After that you can use it in the emails.

      • Thanks for your answer. I dont want all the customers to see the deposit amount, because not all the customers pay a deposit. Thats why i cannot write it at the booking form. Is there another way? Or is there any way to write it on the booking form and then make it invisible to the customers? Maybe with a code of hiding it, or with white letters color on a white background?

    • Hello.
      1)Plugin does not support SMS.

      The Booking Calendar does not have the SMS notifications functionality in the core of the plugin.

      But you can check this plugin "Booking Calendar - Clockwork SMS" : http://wordpress.org/plugins/booking-sms/

      which work together with Booking Calendar and declare that they have this functionality.

      Please note, its does not our plugin and we do not support this plugin

      2) We have developed new plugin - “Email Reminders”, which have similar functionality and native integration with latest versions of Booking Calendar plugin.

      You can try it. But currently we do not provide support or help with configuration with this plugin. Because of too much work and support with Booking Calendar plugin.

  3. Hello,

    I believe I have a bug in my booking configuration of the capacity for a specific booking resource.
    I have the Version 9.Business.Large.SingleSite.8.8.2 and it's not working as in your video (https://youtu.be/jHTDYYnEXzY)
    I have created a parent ressource and 4 child. I've set the capacity to 1 each so I have 5 spot available.
    In the advanced section of the admin configuration I've checked the "Visitors number apply to capacity" option than the 2nd radio button option - "Show at tooltip on calendar availability based on sum number of visitors, which can be at free booking resource items. Check maximum support of visitors at all booking resources with selected number of visitors from booking form".

    So far it's ok. BUT : when I try to test there are many issues :

    1- When I book the 5 slot and come back on the calendar, the date is still available minus 1 slot (it says there is still 4 slots remaining)... it should have says that it's impossible to book on that date since all the 5 slots have already been booked.
    2- When I display the time line I should have all the five line booked instead I have only the first (parent) and if i click I have the details.

    This is really disturbing and i try a lot before contacting you.

    I really need you to help me please since this is becoming urgent for my client.

  4. Hi, I have 3 questions (using the Business Large version):

    1. Is it possible to add not only children but also a childrenage dropdown (for each selected child) and calculate the additional price based on that childrenage: childrenage>3 = 50€, childrenage>8 = 70€...

    2. After the capacity is 0 can it automatically switch to bookingrequest instead of direct bookings?

    3. I can freely define what the deposit (booking fee for me) is correct, in my case that would be just directly pay the booking fee and the rest later

    Is there a way to sync booking calendar with google calendar or for example office 365 calendar?

    • Hello.
      Booking Calendar does not have the direct integration with Office 365.
      But plugin support sync via .ics feeds.

      Import.
      Please check about the configuration of import events from .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/import-ics-feeds/
      Please note, the import process is working in that case, when some visitor is open your website page with booking import shortcode. So you can configure CRON at your server, for periodically accessing this page with booking import shortcode to start the import process. Or you can insert the import shortcode before booking form shortcode, so firstly the system will start the import process and only then show the booking form, when someone visits your page.

      You can define CRON at your server for periodically access pages with import .ics feeds shortcodes and start import process during specific time-intervals, then check this: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/cron-script/

      Export.
      Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/Booking Calendar is generated .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some services (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into their own system, does not depend on the Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force the import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed for making imports.

    I would like the notify more than one person when there is a new booking.

    In the email forms, there is only room for one email address.

    so how can i email, for example, 2 owners of the same resource when there is a new booking request ?

      You can define the comma separated emails in the field "to" or if you have activated sending copy of emails in these fields at the Booking > Settings > Emails page.

      For example:

      email1@server.com;othet-email@gmail.com

      or

      email1@server.com,othet-email@gmail.com

  7. Our client needs the following changes to be made:

    They need to change their booking plugin so they can easily:
    1) Block out Sundays (or any other day they choose) as a day for picking up or returning a vehicle
    2) Custom change pricing as needed for any particular day or period
    3) Add a % surcharge to any day or period (where it is clear to the user that there is a surcharge for the period. E.g. holiday periods)
    4) Make sure that vehicles that are not available do not show in the search results when searched

    Can these changes be customised? If so, could you please provide documentation so we can hire a developer to implement them?

    Our website contact email address is showing up in the form's email box wherever there is the code:
    Email*:[email* email].
    It should be a blank box so the enquirer knows to type their own email address there.

    It wasn't doing it before updating to the latest version.
    Not sure how to fix it?

  9. Other payment solution for Version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.8.8.2 in WordPress 5.8.1 / PHP 7.4 ?

    We want to use a local payment gateway solution from Nets in Denmark.

    I checked the FAQ and found your info about "Integration own payment gateway into Booking Calendar update 7.0 or newer".

    Questions:

    1. If I choose to use the code from Stripe gateway, should I copy all files in the Stripe folder and put them in a new folder, but only edit the files you mention in the FAQ? Or should I only use that one file you mention in the FAQ?

    2. You mention a "new hook" which may be added. I suppose it should be in the file wpbc-gw-NAME.php but where?

    3. Do you have more information about using another payment solution for your booking calender?

    By the way, Nets have a WordPress plugin called Nets Easy but I don´t know if we can use that in connection with your Booking system?

      1) You can copy only one file (wpbc-gw-stripe.php). Probably you will rename it to wpbc-gw-nets-easy.php

      Please note, this is only guidance how to shod to start work, it's not the complete guide. And many items to implement you will get from the documentation of your new payment system. So you need to know what you are doing. It's not the copy/paste simple instruction.
      2) Inside of the file that you are editing ( wpbc-gw-nets-easy.php ) you need to something similar to this:

      function add_my_loc_payment( $gateway ){ 
         return $gateway . ',loc_payment'; 
      }
      add_filter( 'wpbc_gateways_original_id_list', 'add_my_loc_payment' );
      

      Of course instead of "loc_payment" you need to have the name of your payment system (if in your case it's "nets_easy") then you need to have this:

      3) Unfortunately, no.

  10. Hi, I'm using 'Version 9.Business.Medium.SingleSite.8.8.1' and I'm using a single resource with bookable time slots every 30 minutes. I have 2 duration times, 30 minutes and an hour with different costs. I'm using Advanced Costs to configure this.

    The calendar works well but it shows time slots as available regardless of duration and it only shows an error message after a booking attempt.

    For example -

    30th September
    Available slots show as 9:00, 9:30, 10:30
    Customer selects 9:30 for 1 hour but a booking is already in the system for 10:00-10:30 so unable to proceed

    Is there another way to set this up so that if the selected duration time is 1 hour only suitable time slots are shown?

      Unfortunately if you will use the start time and duration of time fields, then it’s does not possible to remove the duration of time options from the list. System can show only warning message and do not allow to make the booking, if the timeslot already booked.

          You can use the time slots, but in this case you will have too many options to select.
          Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.

          • So I should create separate time slots for each duration?

            e.g. 9:00-9:30, 9:00-10:00, 9:30-10:00, 9:30-10:30 and so on?

            With this method am I able to set different rates to different time slots?

                  If you want to show as unavailable some dates or times in all calendars (booking resources) if some booking was made in only one calendar (booking resources), so then it’s possible to configure it with “aggregate” parameter in the Booking Calendar shortcode ( it's possible in all  paid versions of Booking Calendar).

                  This parameter  make the dates in calendar unavailable if these dates was booked in some other booking resources.

                  I will  explain it in example of booking  rooms:
                  So  your configuration  can look like this:
                  Booking resources at the Booking > Resources page:

                  - Room #1   ( ID = 3 )
                  - Room #2   ( ID = 4 ) 
                  - Room #3   ( ID = 5 ) 

                  And you need to  insert  the Booking Calendar shortcodes like this

                  - Room #1   ( ID = 3 )
                  [booking type=3 aggregate='4;5' ]

                  - Room #2   ( ID = 4 ) 
                  [booking type=4 aggregate='3;5' ] 

                  - Room #3   ( ID = 5 ) 
                  [booking type=5 aggregate='4;5' ] 
                  ....

                  If some room will be booked for a specific date(s),  this date will be unavailable in other rooms,  as well.

              • I set this up but it's too confusing for the customers because of the many options.

                Instead, is it possible to create 2 separate resources that share availability?
