  1. I am using version 10.1.4 of WP Booking Calendar. I have a calendar for booking use of a telephone room. I have starttime and durationtime dropdowns configured in the form. The booking gets made OK and time gets displayed correctly in both the confirmation and the booking listing, but the calendar is showing the date as "booked" instead of "partially booked". What do I need to do to fix this?

    • Hello.
the Booking Calendar can mark the date as fully booked, in case if all times at the specific date already booked. Then system show the date as fully booked instead of the partially booked.

Otherwise please send the exact link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue and explain what date and time to book to generate this issue.
      Kind Regards.

      • Here is the link to the page:
        https://thespacecoworking.de/telephone-booking-form/

You will see there are already two days marked as "Gebucht" (booked). If you hover over them, the only booking is for 08:00 to 08:15. They should be marked "Zum Teil ausgebucht" (partially booked).

You can create a new booking on a different day, but the days with the existing bookings are no longer available.

To recreate, create a new booking on an available date. After hitting submit, you will get the confirmation page (no email sent). Reload the page from the browser and the calendar should show the new date as completely booked.

        • Hello.
          1) In your actual calendar skin the partially booked dates marked ONLY by the dots in the dates. The background color show the status of the bookings.
You can select other calendar skin (such as Green - 01 or Light 01), where the partially booked dates has the different background color. You can select the calendar skin at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Calendar" section.

Or if you want to use the current calendar skin, then you can activate this option "Do not change background color for partially booked days" at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Time Slots" section.

          2) To ensure your notifications arrive in your and your customers inboxes, we recommend connecting your email address to your domain and setting up a dedicated SMTP server.
In most situations you will need to install and configure some SMTP plugin, such as WP Mail plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

If something does not seem to be sending correctly, install the WP Mail Logging Plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/ to check logs of your emails

or check the Email FAQ page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

          Kind Regards.

  2. Hello 🙂

I have some issue to migrate database.
My client has website online using this plugin.
I made a new one and host it in a subdomain of the website.
I try to export the data from the production website to the dev website.
So I import the tables "wp_booking" and "wp_bookingdates" from the production database to the dev database but nothing happened.

I try to uninstall the plugin, import the data and reinstall but still nothing.

I also try to export / import using the .ics file, but only 14 reservations about 150 was updated, and the fields wasn't well filled.

Also, I tried to uninstall the plugin with the option "Check this box if you want to delete all booking data when you uninstall the extension." and reinstall it, but now I still no have the reservations, and I lost all my configuration of the plugin.
I tried to restore a save of the database but my configuration is still gone.

Can you help me please ?

    Thank you

    • Hello.

Here is general info about migrate process (in case if you will not make fully identical transfer).

      1) You need to inform us about old and new url of websites for your Booking Calendar version.

      2) You need to transfer the Booking Calendar files from the ../wp-content/plugins/{Booking Calendar Folder} of old website to new website.

According transfer of the Booking Calendar Data.

      3) Please backup and restore to the new site the DB tables that is starting from the "wp_booking" term, for example using the phpMyAdmin tool.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/4425kRMaFso

      4) Also you will be need to backup and restore some records from the wp_options table, where option_name fields are starting from the "booking_" term.

Please watch this video guide about this export: https://youtu.be/EZ4jxJDlTFs

Helpful tip from video guide. In the old database you need to execute this SQL in your phpMyAdmin tool.

      SELECT * FROM `wp_options` WHERE `option_name` LIKE 'booking%'

After this you can export SQL file for importing in your new database.

      5) You can make such migrate from one to other website only once. And of course you need to delete the Booking Calendar version at old website.

P.S. Please note, unfortunately we can not provide migrate process at the customers websites, because of security reasons.
Please check more here about what support we are providing: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/what-support-do-you-provide/
      Thank you for understanding.

      • Hello, Thanks for you reply.

        1) The sub-domain is temporary and is intended to replace the main site. So what should I do?

Also, I wonder how it is working? ? All the data are not stored in database ? Why just the migration of the database is not enought ? I'm wonder if the data of users are protected and conform to GDPR.

        5) Like I said, the sub-domain is temporary and is intended to replace the main site. So how I should process ?

        Thanks you for your help.

        • Hello.
          1) All "booking data" and "settings relative functionality of the plugin" stored at your database.
Find more information at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/where-is-saving-booking-data-gdpr/
The only information that is stored at the our servers it is info about initial registration of the plugin that you do after activation of the plugin from the Settings page (which include version name and website). And of course we do not store info about the bookings and settings of your plugin at our servers.
          5) So to update your initial info about the plugin, we need the old and new URLs of your website.
All other booking data and settings have to be migrated as explained in my previous comment.
All such data are at your database.
          Kind Regards.

          • Hello, Thanks for your lights 🙂

In my case my "new website" is temporary, is a subdomain of the old one. It will replace the old one. So the subdomain will be removed and the domain won't change.

So should I signal to you the change or not ?

Also, if I have to do, where do I signal to you the changes, here or via an e-mail address ?

            Thanks you very much.

            • Hello.
Please simply send email to support @ wpbookingcalendar.com
Where you inform us about the old and new website URL. That's it.
              Thank you.

  3. I have a message to say that the Booking Calendar plugin has a new update, however, the install is not working. When i click the Update Now button, it shows this error message "Update failed: Update package not available."

  4. Hey
the person number changed in one of my houses from 4-6. where can I adapt the person number for the different houses.
    Best regards
    ISabelle

    • Hello.
It is possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions by creation of differrent custom booking forms with different configuration of form fields for each of your booking resources (houses).

In case if you need to have several different booking forms with different form fields configurations, then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#custom-forms
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/custom-booking-forms-video-overview/

      Kind Regards.

      • Hello.
        1) You can create the several custom booking forms at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page (possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions )

        2) In one custom booking form you can have this shortcode:
        Personen*: [select* visitors class:visitor "1" "2" "3" "4" "5" "6"]

        3) In another custom booking form you can have the different shortcode:

        Personen*: [select* visitors class:visitor "1" "2" "3"]

        etc...

        4) For showing specific custom booking form to specific booking resource (calendar), you can define it in the Booking Calendar shortcode.
Find more information at this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/shortcode-booking-form/

Learn how to put the booking form or availability calendar on your pages: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/insert-booking-calendar-into-page/

        Kind Regards.

        • I have the highest version of this calender. And I changed in the html Code the number of visitors from 4 to 6 but on the websites it is still 4.

          • Hello.

Please be sure that you changed the booking form, while you logged in as specific regular user the owner of booking resource, where you make this booking.

            • I can specify 6 guests for a manual booking, but if I want to make a test booking via our website (as our customers do) then I can only select a maximum of 4 guests

              • Hello.
You need to specify the number of visitors for seelction in the Booking Calendar form at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page.
If you use the several custom booking forms, then please do this in all custom booking forms.

You can use one custom booking form for the admin panel and other custom booking form for the front-end side.

In case if you need to have several different booking forms with different form fields configurations, then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#custom-forms
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/custom-booking-forms-video-overview/

                Kind Regards.

  5. Hi,

I bought Business Medium to be able to do something specific. I tried a lot but there is something that I don't know how to do.

    The logic is:

    Weekdays $150/hour, 2 hours minimum, available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

    Saturday/Sunday and public holidays $200/hour, blocks 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

These are not the same hours on weekdays versus weekends and holidays. These are different prices, that I was able to indicate correctly in "Prices / Seasons" and in "Prices / Daily Costs / Seasonal Pricing" of the Resource. But I'm not able to setup the reservation form correctly to achieve this.

How can I be able to select different start times and end times for each day (with the "Start Time / End Time" form)?

Or, how can I be able to select different start times and durations for each day (with the “Start Time / Duration Time” form)?

Or maybe I have to use another form to achieve the logic I want?

Can you tell me what I have to do to achieve this?

    Thanks for your time.

    • Hello.
      1) Because you have the different seasons, then you need to create the several different seasons for the each dates. Such seasons must not intersect with each other. So you need to create the days seasons, instead of conditional days seasons at the WP Booking Calendar > Availability > Seasons page.

Then check more here about the different times at the different days
      https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#times-week-days

You can check more info about this configuration at this page
      https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/different-time-slots-selections-for-different-days/

      2) Fully different costs for the different timeslots, possible to configure only in case if the costs increase or decrease on specific percentage. And not the fixed cost.
In this case you can define the costs at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Daily Costs page -> section Seasonal Pricing

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/rates-daily-costs-video-overview/

      • Hi, Thanks for your help.

        1) I was able to setup time for each season like you explain. As we cannot select several rangetimes, I put "start-end" everywhere. The code looks like this:

        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="En semaine"]
        En semaine:
        Heure de début *:
        [selectbox starttime "16:00" "17:00" "18:00" "19:00" "20:00"]
        Heure de fin *:
        [selectbox endtime "18:00" "19:00" "20:00" "21:00" "22:00"]
        [/condition]
        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="Fin de semaine"]
        Fin de semaine: [select rangetime "10:00 - 14:00" "14:00 - 18:00" "18:00 - 22:00"]
        [/condition]
        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="Jours fériés"]
        Jours fériés: [select rangetime "10:00 - 14:00" "14:00 - 18:00" "18:00 - 22:00"]
        [/condition]
        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="Semaines de la construction"]
        Semaines de la construction: [select rangetime "10:00 - 14:00" "14:00 - 18:00" "18:00 - 22:00"]
        [/condition]

But I need customers to be able to choose the time for every selected day on the calendar.

Ex.: If they want to come two days, say Tuesday and Wednesday August 13 and 21, they must choose the times for each of these days. So whether it is a weekday, weekend or other season indicated, we must be able to choose the time for each selected day. It's possible?

In the settings, I tried to select "Use selected times for each booking date" but whenever it's selected or not doesn't help me to be able to select different time for different days.

        2) I'm gonna check this after the setup of the time slots.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

      • Sorry, I put the wrong code in my previous message, here is the right one:

        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="En semaine"]
        En semaine:
        Heure de début *:
        [selectbox starttime "16:00" "17:00" "18:00" "19:00" "20:00"]
        Heure de fin *:
        [selectbox endtime "18:00" "19:00" "20:00" "21:00" "22:00"]
        [/condition]
        [condition name="season-times" type="season" value="Fin de semaine"]
        Fin de semaine:
        Heure de début *:
        [selectbox starttime "10:00" "11:00" "12:00" "13:00" "14:00" "15:00" "16:00" "17:00" "18:00" "19:00" "20:00" "21:00" "22:00"]

          • Hello,
Okay, I told my client that we have to book one day at a time.
However, my client informed me that he wants to only charge a deposit which is equivalent to the price for one hour.
So I removed the price according to the seasons (per hour) to put the prices in "Duration-Based Costs". I selected "1 day" for each season and set the price per day. But it doesn't work, in the form, it still calculates the total per hour. How can I ensure that the amount claimed is only one hour, no matter how many hours are selected?
Thanks again for your help, have a nice day!

  6. I am using version 10.1.4 of WP Booking Calendar Business Medium. I have two groups of users: members and the public. I would like to have members' bookings auto-confirmed but want to review bookings by the public. Is this possible?

    • Hello.
Unfortunately it’s does not possible in actual versions of Booking Calendar. Sorry.

We will add this feature to the TODO list for having it in future updates of plugin, but I can not say when exactly it’s will be implemented. Thank you for understanding.

  7. Hi, is there any API available for Admin ? for example to connect the boiling list a local server.

  8. How can we make the 'new booking email' for visitors be sent only after the partial payment has been done? Or better, how can we automatically send an email once this payment has been confirmed?

    • Hello.
This type of emails “New booking (visitor)” is only about the creation of the new booking. You need to disable it.

You want that visitor receive email, when the booking is confirmed. So you need to enable the “Approved” email template. And at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Payment page in Specific payment system activate auto approve / decline booking after payment process.

      Kind Regards.

      • Yeah sorry but this doesn't make much sense. There should be an option to send an email once the payment has been made (and even an option to send a receipt) without having to accept the booking because those are two different things. Do you think you can add this feature to the next version? Thx!

        • Logically it still will be in the same way as it now. Because before payment we need to know (already) the id of this booking and other parameters and what is more important to disable the dates or times for other visitors to not make the duplicate booking, until this person made the payment. Or if the payment will not be done, then the booking - booked dates will be released and other persons can make the bookings.

So here can booking resources different names for the exist email templates. I open for any proposition.
Or creation of the new email templates. Just note, email from payment system we cannot generate. We can generate email after payment system made response to the Booking Calendar and at this time send approved or declined booking email.

          Hope it make the sense.
          Kind Regards.

          • Yes that's fine I'm only asking for the option of sending an email when the booking calendar has received the payment (if it did not receive it for any issue during the transaction then it can be marked as received manually on the backend and then the email may be automatically sent. In our tests, the plugin has registered perfectly all payments done through stripe). But the email is not to accept or decline the booking, it's only to inform the client that the payment has been received (and maybe if available some info about the transaction and about the booking). Then is up to the admin decide which emails are enabled (if both when booking has been received and when payment has been received or only one of them).

Thank you again for your patience and willingness.

            Best,
            Samuel

            • Hello.
Currently it is the exactly moment, when payment system approve the booking. At this moments approved email template can be send. Subject and content of this email can be completely overwritten to “payment received” or similar text.
              Kind Regards.

              • Yes but we want to have both. A "payment received" email and (if the booking gets approved) an "approved" email (or "rejected" email if it doesn't get approved). We don't think it should be one or the other because they are unrelated (just bc a booking is paid doesn't necessarily means it has to be automatically approved).

                Hope it make sense.
                Best,
                Samuel

                  • Thank you. Looking forward to it, we will look to implement an alternative solution meanwhile (any leads?). Hope you can incorporate soon (like in the next version 🙂 Thank you and regards

                    • Hey! Any news about this? We would really benefit from this feature for out launch this week

                    • Hello.

  9. Hi,
    I am using
    WP 6.6.1,
    PHP 8.2.19 (Supports 64bit values)
    Theme Hello Elementor 3.1.0,
Plugins Booking Calendar Version 11. Business.Small.SingleSite.10.2.1
    Booking Manager Version 2.1.9
    Elementor Version 3.23.2
Elementor Header & Footer Builder Version 1.6.37
Essential Addons for Elementor Version 5.9.27

The booking calendar will not sync with the corresponding Outlook calendar on Outlook O365. We entered the .ics link in the necessary fields, configured the plugin as needed, but when we book dates/times on the calendar on the website, it does not update the outlook calendar.

    2. It is also not sending out notification emails
    3. It won't show any bookings past 6 months in the future and we need it to display one year into the future

Please contact me ASAP as we've had difficulties with managing this plugin for a while.

    • Hello.

      1) Booking Calendar is generate .ics feed with bookings in real time. But how often some service (like airbnb, or booking.com ) access this .ics feed to import the bookings from Booking Calendar into own system, does not depend from Booking Calendar. So in other words, Booking Calendar does not force to generate import process by third party service, when some booking is created. You need to check with support of this service (like airbnb or booking.com), about how often they can access the .ics feed tor making import.

Please check about the configuration of export .ics feeds in this FAQ instruction here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/export-ics-feeds/

      2) Not receiving emails, can depend on the different items. Please check this troubleshooting instruction: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/no-emails/

      Shot summary.

Firstly you need to check that you have activated and configured the email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page:
      - option "Enable / Disable" at the specific email templates at the Booking > Settings > Emails page, must be checked
      - also "From" field at the specific email template must to have the same website DNS as your website.

But in most situations you will need to install and configure some SMTP plugin.

We can recommend to install and configure this WP Mail plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
but you can search and install any other SMTP plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/smtp/

Why do you need to have an SMTP plugin?

SMTP plugins have to fix your email deliverability by reconfiguring WordPress to use a proper SMTP provider when sending emails.
This is a problem for a lot of WordPress sites because by default, WordPress uses the PHP mail function to send emails generated by WordPress.
The issue is that most WordPress hosting companies don’t have their servers properly configured for sending PHP emails.
The combination of two causes your WordPress emails to not get delivered.

It also can be a reason why your emails are marked as spam.

      Please check more here https://wpmailsmtp.com/wordpress-emails-going-to-spam/

      3) Please open the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in “Calendar” section and set for the number of months to scroll value “2 years” or more.

      Kind Regards.
