Yes, its possible to make upgrade from lower version to the higher versions of the same editions (for example from the Booking Calendar Personal single site usage version to the Booking Calendar Business Small single site usage version).
But its does not possible to make upgrade from the single site usage version to the "developer" or multi site usage versions or from the "developer" to the multi site usage versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions, usually higher than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of single site usage versions higher on $20 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of "developer" edition versions higher on $30 than difference in cost between 2 versions.
The cost of upgrade from the lower to higher versions of multi site usage versions higher on $50 than difference in cost between 2 versions.

Each specific version of Booking Calendar can be single site usage version, developer or multi site usage version.
Single site usage version, possible to install and activate only at 1 specific website.
Developer edition version, possible to install and activate at 2 different websites. Its can be test (developer) server and live website.
Multi site usage version, possible to install and activate maximum on 5 different websites.

Booking Calendar "Free" - this version is free, you can download it from WordPress directory.
It's very easy in use and powerful version for the creating reservation of one resource.
At this version is possible to make reservation for the one resource, like a room or car, or some service... etc. You can insert into the post or page the standard booking form with fixed number of fields and availability calendar, where visitor can select single or multiple days. Administrator and visitor can receive the standard email notifications about different actions, like a "new booking", "approve/decline/... of booking", etc... Administrator can make the booking at admin panel at the "Add new booking" menu page and configure the different settings of the booking form and availability calendar at the general booking settings menu page.

Booking Calendar Personal - it's paid version, where is possible to have booking availability calendar for the each of multiple booking resources (like a room, cars or any services, etc…). You can add new and configure exist fields in the booking form. Also you can configure the email templates for the different booking actions. You can able to edit the exist bookings, add comments to the bookings, print and export bookings to the CSV format, etc… Please check at the feature list and live demo of this version, full list of features of this version.

Booking Calendar Business Small - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can receive the bookings for the specific time of date, set the cost of booking resource and integrate the online payment form of supported payment systems. Your visitors can make the rage days selection using the one mouse click in calendar, or setting minimum or sets of fixed number of days selection using 2 mouse clicks (check in and checkout dates), all middle dates will be selected automatically. Also here is possible to use the same date as check in/out date for the different bookings by activating the fixed time at the settings page.
Please note, if you will use the fixed time slot list selection (and not the time entering using the text fields) in the booking form, the timeslot list will be the same for the any date of week, in other words the fixed time slot list is not depend from the week of day. Also if some visitor will reserve the specific time slot at selected date at specific booking resource (calendar), this timeslot become unavailable for the other visitors at this selected date in this booking resource.

Booking Calendar Business Medium - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you will have more advanced cost and availability management of the bookings. At this version is possible to set the rates, which will depend from the season filters, plus you can set the more advanced cost for the booking, where cost is depend from the number of selected dates. Also you can set additional cost for the option selection at selectboxes or checkboxes at your booking form. this additional cost can be fixed sum or percent from the final cost of booking. You can even activate and configure for the resources the deposit payment feature, what is mean that visitor will pay at the payment form, the part of the final cost of the booking. This version is also support settings availability per each booking resource, which is depend from the season filters. Also you can able to configure the several customization of booking form fields, it's mean that different resources can have different form fields. You can send the payment requests to visitors for the specific booking by email. And much more.... Booking Calendar Business Large - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus you can make the several reservations per the same FULL date (not a time slot) for the same booking resource (availability calendar). At this version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it's mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability. Also at this version you will be able to search the available booking resources in your pages or posts for the specific check in/out dates and specific number of visitors. Booking Calendar MultiUser - it's paid version, where is possible all actions from previous versions, plus each registered WordPress user of your site can have independent, individual, own booking admin panel. It's mean that each regular registered WordPress user can see only OWN booking resources and bookings and can configure the own booking form fields and email templates, own payment form integration data and costs of booking resources as some other settings... In this version is exist also the "super booking admin users", which can see and manage the bookings and booking resources from the all users and manage the status of other bookings users.       You can make upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your exist version of plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

  1. Is there a way to display the last name instead of the first name on the booking on the back-end calendar?

      If you asking how to define this booking data in the booking pipeline in the Calendar Overview page in admin panel, so then you can define it at the Booking > Settings General page in Timeline section for the option: “Booking title (admin panel)” like this: [secondname]

      (Shortcode that you are using at the “Content of booking fields data” form at Booking > Settings > Form page ).

  2. Hello

    I'm trying to use custom form for a resource, but I get two calendars on my page. Seems like the shortcode booking type=6 is automatically putting a calendar on the page, and then the shortcode's form_type='vaelluskurssi' with its [calendar id=6] in the form fields is trying to put the calendar I want on the page again.

    I want the tos checkbox before the calendar, and it works with my standard form.

    Here are my shortcodes and screenshots of how it looks on my pages, and also screenshots of my form fields for standard and custom.

    I have set the default form accordingly in resources.

    Any way to fix this?

      Please open the Booking > Settings > Form page and In your custom form replace [calendar id=6] to this shortcode [calendar]

      ID of your booking resource you are defined in the Booking Calendar shortcode in the content of the page and not at the Booking > Settings > Form page.

      Unfortunately, Booking Calendar does not support the direct credit card payments. Sorry.

      You can use Stripe, that is support direct cards payments.

      The Business Small and higher versions of the Booking Calendar is support Stripe, PayPal (Standard and PayPal Pro Hosted Solution (please note, PayPal PayPal Pro Hosted Solution its does not the same as PayPal Pro)), Authorize.Net, Sage Pay, iDEAL via Sisow and iPay88 payment gateways integration (also plugin support showing text info for payment by cash and bank transfer - its only show text info but does not connect to any bank system), other payment systems are not supporting yet. You can configure and activate it at the Booking > Settings > Payment page.

  3. Hi again

    I've tried my best for many hours, but I just can't get the aggregate or capacity to work how I want to. I have business large version of the plugin.

    I'm a one man business with different services (resources), so if somebody makes a booking (day) for one resource, I want that day to be unavailable on all calendars/resources.

    I have one single resource and another one with capacity of 4 (parent + 3 child resources). Screenshot of the resources: https://finnishfriend.com/temp/booking-aggregate-resources.jpg

    On resource 1's shortcode I have: [booking type=1 aggregate='6;7;8;9']. This works, if there's a booking on the 6/7/8/9 parent/child resource, the day is not available on id 1's calendar.

    On the 6/7/8/9 parent/child resources shortcode I have: [booking type=6 form_type='vaelluskurssi' aggregate='1' ]. Days booked on resource 1 are still available here, as if the aggregate doesn't work.

    I've tried to use the setting "Set capacity based on number of visitors" and follow your FAQ, but I couldn't make it work. I tried to put hidden visitors field on resource 1's form to fill the 6/7/8/9 capacity, but couldn't get it to work.

    Help, please?

      The aggregate feature is only working with single booking resources (where capacity = 1).
      Why you need to use booking resources with specific capacity if you are only the person who made the service for these resources ?
      Probability you need to use booking resources with capacity =1 and it’s means possible to use aggregate parameter in the Booking Calendar shortcodes.

      • My single resource 1 is for one person to book the whole day. The other resource 6/7/8/9 is for max 4 different people to book place on the same service.

          • Ok, aggregate won't work.

            I have custom forms for these two different services.

            Form 1 is working, one person can make a booking for a whole day.

            Form 2 I'm setting up now: Max four different people can make a booking for a specific day, using the same booking form, then that day is full (not available). So four people can book the same resource for that specific day. This is not using the number of visitors chosen on a form, one person can only book one slot from the four available.

            This is my problem now:

            If somebody has booked a day using form 1, I want that day to be unavailable also on form 2, and if at least one person has made a booking on form 2, I want that day to unavailable also on form 1, but the other three available resources/slots are still available on form 2.

            The forms work, but I can't get the form 1 bookings to make the same days unavailable on form 2.

              Yes, I have understood about your issue.

              1) But the problems, that system can NOT apply the "aggregate" parameter to the booking resource, that have capacity higher than 1.
              This aggregate parameter can apply only to the single booking resources (capacity = 1).

              2) You can use instead of "parent booking resource" with specific capacity the selectbox of selection several single booking resources and then using aggregate parameter.
              Its means that you need to define booking resources: 6,7,8,9 as single booking resources at the Booking > Resources page
              and then use this shortcode:

              [bookingselect type='6,7,8,9' selected_type='6' first_option_title='' label='' aggregate='1']

              and at other page use your previous shortcode:

              [booking type=1 aggregate='6;7;8;9']

              • Ok, I got it now. But I don't want the customer to have to choose from the different resources when they are the same thing in their eyes.

                I'll handle the situations manually, if they arise.

    Does the premium version have full access to all styling capabilities? I'm finding it impossible to style the wpbc_booked_times_word block (found when hovering over a date where appointments have already been made). It isn't coded in a way that can be inspected with browser developer tools.

  5. My discount coupon sort of works and doesn't at the same time. I want a coupon that makes the booking free, and can be used only one time.

    I have made a coupon with 100 % discount in the resources/coupons. The coupon has maximum number of usage = 1.

    In my form fields I have code: [coupon giftcode]

    When I make a booking with the coupon code, it works and the cost is 0.

    Problems:

    I can use the same code many times, it's unlimited.

    I can write anything to the coupon field in the booking form on my page, and the booking is succesful. Is there is no check whether the code exists? Only the real coupon code has effect.

      Of course it have to work only once and with real coupon code.

      Did you defined some cost for the booking resource at the Booking > Resources page ? So if you do not use coupon code than you will have cost higher than 0?

      Can you send screenshots of Booking > Resources page and Booking > Resources > Coupons page ? And send the link to your page with booking form, where you are having the issue.

    I have some questions about the booking calendar.
    1. How can I center the calendar? He has left always a greater distance than the right.
    2. Is there a way to use two list of periods in a calendar? Since I offer two different types of time blocks (always 4h or 10h).
    Have it currently flooded with two selection lists.
    But it would be great if the selected time after confirmation automatically entered in the calendar and I would not do it manually afterwards. How do I solve this?
    3. Partial bookings are not displayed. Why? Do I have to activate the ad somewhere?
    4. How can I create individual items and deposit them with prices.
    5. How can the total price of a booking be displayed before payment?

      Please open the Booking > Settings > Form page and configure booking form similar to this:

      The trick here to have configuration of your booking form inside of this div element:

      2) You can to use start time and duration of time fields for such times selection.

      For example:

      3) If you do not see the booked dates in calendar at the front-end, please open the General Booking Settings page and in the “Advanced section”, please be sure that you have not activated this option: “Allow unlimited bookings per same day(s):”. This option must be unchecked. If its checked, please uncheck it and update the settings.

      Also this option “Use pending days as available” must be unchecked, as well. It’s located at the Booking > Settings General page in Advanced section.

      If you still will have this issue, please recheck for the any cache plugins, like “WP Super Cache” or “W3 Total Cache”. If you are using someone, please deactivate it or add the exception to the page with booking form for do not cache this page(s).

      4) If you need to set for some selected items in your booking form additional costs like deposit, so then it’s possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions. Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#additional-cost

      5) The ability to show cost in real time in booking form, after selection of dates or some other options possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions by using [cost_hint] shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page.
