  1. Hi there,

I just bought (and installed) the Business Large version but I immediately encounter a problem.

I can't set capacity per day. For now, I want to make 1 day (September 20) available in the calendar with 2 time slots: (10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 16:00).

For the time slot from 10:00 to 12:00, there are 10 spots available
For the time slot from 14:00 to 16:00, there are 30 spots available

I want to use the booking plugin to offer guided tours. So it must be possible that not only 1 person can make a booking per time slot :'-)

I have already gone through the entire plugin (all settings) but I really can't find it. Can you help me? If it is not possible, I will unfortunately have to choose a different plugin/system.

Hopefully I will hear a response soon.

Tomorrow is my last day before my vacation and I would like to give my client feedback before then.

    Thanks in advance! 🙂

    Kind regards,

    Lisa Greuter

    • Hello.

You can not set different capacity for the different time slots in the same calendar, such as this:

For the time slot from 10:00 to 12:00, there are 10 spots available
For the time slot from 14:00 to 16:00, there are 30 spots available

It is possible to set capacity in the same calendar as this:

For the time slot from 10:00 to 12:00, there are 30 spots available
For the time slot from 14:00 to 16:00, there are 30 spots available

      or this:

For the time slot from 10:00 to 12:00, there are 10 spots available
For the time slot from 14:00 to 16:00, there are 10 spots available

      2) Otherwise you can create the 2 different calendars with different capacity (10 and 30).

Then you can have selection of such booking resources (calendars) as in this example https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/select-resource/
      Check shortcode here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/shortcode-booking-resources-selection/

      3) You can create the 2 different custom booking forms at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page,
each such custom booking form can have the different time slots. So in one booking form will be xist this time slots: 10:00 to 12:00
and in other booking form will be other time slot: 14:00 to 16:00,

      Summary.
      - You will have 2 different booking resources with different capacity. One booking resource with capacity = 10 and other booking resource with capacity = 30
Create such booking resources at the Booking > Resources page.
Insert the booking resources selection for such booking resources inside of the page. Check shortcode here https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/shortcode-booking-resources-selection/

      - You will be have 2 different custom booking forms. Each form will have the different time slots.

      - At the Booking > Resources page you can define the specific custom booking form as default for specific booking resource.
So depends from selected booking resource, you will load specific custom booking form with specific time slots.
      Kind Regards.

  2. Hi there, we have some anomalies going on with our aggregated booking forms. Every time I load the page the bookings look different. We have 8 tent pitches with their own calendars, and then an exclusive hire with its own calendar.

    The domain is https://oldbidlakefarm.co.uk/ and the various calendar and forms are on the following pages;
    https://oldbidlakefarm.co.uk/booking-availability/
    https://oldbidlakefarm.co.uk/exclusive-hire/

The aggregate system you helped me set up worked well until today. Now the resources on the booking availability page show the exclusive hire dates as unavailable but not every time I load the page. The same happens on the exclusive hire calendar. One moment it shows all the booked dates as unavailable. The next minute it shows the same dates as available. This is causing problems with guests who think dates are available and we have had to cancel a few bookings. Any help with this issue will be greatly received.

    Thanks, Surya

    • Hello.
I do not sure that clearly understand about your issue.
Please be sure that during testing your pages, you checked the same calendar. Because at those pages exist several different calendars at the same page, and during reloading of the page, you can check other calendars, which can confuse you.

Otherwise we can suggest to update your version of Booking Calendar to the latest update 10.3
You can request the new update of Booking Calendar on this page: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/request-update/

Otherwise please explain in some example about exact issue that you have.
      Thank you.

  3. We are using this booking calendar for a village hall booking system that charges per hour. Is there a way to charge per hour for the Form Options Costs?

    • Hello.
At the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page you can set additional costs for the any "time-slot" selection in your booking form.
If you use the start time and duration of time fields in the booking form, then you can define the additional cost for the duration time options.
      For example:

      <r>
      		<c> <l>Start Time (required):</l><br />
      			[selectbox starttime "08:00" "09:00" "10:00" "11:00" "12:00" "13:00" "14:00" "15:00" "16:00" "17:00" "18:00" "19:00" "20:00" "21:00" "22:00"]
      		</c>
      		<c>
      		     <l>Duration Time (required):</l><br />
      			[selectbox durationtime "15 min@@00:15" "30 min@@00:30" "45 min@@00:45" "1 hour@@01:00" "1 hour 30 min@@01:30" "2 hours@@02:00" "3 hours@@03:00" "4 hours@@04:00"]
      		</c>
      	</r>

And at the WP Booking Calendar > Prices > Form Options Costs page define additional cost for each of such options:
      durationtime :
      "00:15" = 20
      "00:45" = 50
      "01:00" = 100
      "01:30" = 180
      "02:00" = 200
      "03:00" = 290
      "04:00 = 350

    • Hello.
Sorry, I do not sure that clearly understand what do you mean. Can you explain more detail?
      Thank you.

      • In the United States, in order for us to ask for a phone number, consumers need to be able to agree, or opt-in, before they submit their contact information.

An example would be "By clicking "Submit" I agree to receive emails, text messages, and phone calls. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP"

        • Hello.
You can add the required checkboxes to the booking form at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page.

So visitor will not be able to submit the booking form without checking this checkbox (accepting it).

Please use shortcode generator at the right side of the Booking > Settings > Form page for the fast and correct creation of booking form fields.

You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page https://wpbookingcalendar.com/demo/ to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.

    • Hello.

      1) I made the 2 test at your calendar, and the costs is seems calculated correctly. You can see it, after submitting of the booking before showing payment form.

      2) Please note, in your Booking Calendar Business Small version possible to show cost for the booking only before showing payment buttons.

The ability to show the total booking cost in booking form, after selecting the dates or some other options in the booking form, possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
You need to use this [cost_hint] shortcode in the booking form at the Booking > Settings > Form page to show this total booking cost in real time depending from the selection of dates and some other options in booking form.
      Test it here https://bm.wpbookingcalendar.com/

      Kind Regards.

  4. Hi,

we are currently using the Business Medium version for boat bookings and have a couple of questions regarding the booking process:

    1) Is it possible to have certain links, such as payment URLs, expire once the payment status is set to "confirmed"?

    2) We would like to track when a payment is made but want to prevent visitors from modifying their bookings afterwards. We are concerned that the hash generated in the URL can be used to manipulate the booking. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    Kind regards.

    • Hello.
      1) You can activate this option "Change hash after the booking is approved" at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Manage Bookings" section. If you approve the booking or when the payment will be done and automatically approved, then the hash of the booking changed and all previous links for payments / booking edit / booking cancellation becomes invalid.
      2) Please check previous point 🙂
      Kind Regards.

      • Thank you for your prompt response!

Our goal is to have visitors make their payment only after the booking has been confirmed. We would like to include the payment URL in the confirmation email, which works perfectly for us.

This approach helps us avoid potential issues, such as those we’ve experienced before, where we end up needing to manually process refunds due to scheduling conflicts or other unforeseen problems.

It seems we are missing an option to update the hash after a payment has been received, or perhaps an option to disable the ability for visitors to edit their bookings. However, without the edit booking shortcode, the payment is not registered, so we need to retain it.

Could you advise on whether there are any options or solutions available to address these concerns?

        • Hello.
Ok, in this case please activate this option "Do not show payment form, after submit booking form" at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Payment Setup page in Payment Options section. Then include the "Payment Request Link" shortcode in the Approved email.
          Kind Regards.

          • Hello,

that's what we did and it works almost fine.

Since the booking has already been approved, after the payment was done a new hash appears in the URL on the "/payment-successful" page, which can be used to modify the already approved and payed booking.

Specifically, users can navigate from the "/payment-successful" page to a page that includes the edit booking shortcode, while retaining the hash in the URL.

Our concern is that visitors should not be able to alter a booking once it has been approved or paid.

Is there a way to address this issue?

            • Hello.
Automatically it is not possible, in actual version. sorry.
You will be need to change the status of the booking to the Pending and then approve it again, so in this case, the hash will be changed again for this booking.
You can disable sending emails about these actions at the Booking Listing page, by switching toggle of sending emails at the Top right side of the page.
              Kind Regards.

  5. I am lost. I am unclear how to get two resources to act independently? Lets say I have a cabin that holds 2 adults and one child. Call this Cabin A. Then I have a second cabin but this one holds 4 adults no kids and has the option of cable tv and internet.
So I create two different resources. Cabin A and Cabin B. How do I create different reservation forms and email correspondence for each? I created two different resources but I have only one screen for all the settings. How do I get separate settings screens for each resource??

    • Hello.
      1) In case if you need to have several different booking forms with different form fields configurations, then it's possible in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.
Check more about this feature here: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/#custom-forms
Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/custom-booking-forms-video-overview/

You can create and configure several different custom booking forms with different form fields at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Booking Form page. And then insert specific booking form for specific booking resource into the post or page.

You can upgrade to the higher version of Booking Calendar from your existing version of the plugin by clicking on the "Upgrade" menu item at the top right side of the General Booking Settings page in your admin panel.

      2) Please note, the email configuration for your booking resources will be the same. Of course content of the booking data will be different, but the text configuration from the WP Booking Calendar > Settings > Emails page will be the same.

In case,  if you need to have the different emails for the different booking resources so then  you need to  check  the  Booking Calendar MultiUser version.
In this version each activated regular user can have their own booking admin panel and can configure their own emails.
So here different emails relative to  specific WP user,  and each  such  user  can have their own booking resources. It is means that  different booking resources will have different emails.

Here is more info about this version.

In the Booking Calendar MultiUser version possible that each registered WordPress user (your owner) have own individual independent booking admin panel, and can see and manage only own booking resources and some other settings (other owners will not see the bookings from this owner, they can see only own bookings). Please check more here (at bottom of the page) https://wpbookingcalendar.com/overview/

Also each owner (user) will receive the emails about the bookings of the own service(s) or property (booking resource(s)) and can approve or decline them. Please note, that each owner WordPress user) will have different individual calendar(s) with booking forms in the separate pages. Please retest it in the live demo. You can read more about the initial configuration of the BookingCalendar MultiUser version: https://wpbookingcalendar.com/faq/multiuser-version-init-config/

Watch it in this video guide https://wpbookingcalendar.com/help/multiuser-video-overview/

Please test the live demo of BookingCalendar Multiuser version here: https://multiuser.wpbookingcalendar.com/

  6. HI, I am on your Demo Business large Admin. I am trying to figure out how to create a form and attach it to a specific calendar.

    How do I do this?

    • Hello.
      1) It seems that you use the Booking Calendar Free version.
It is available only in the Booking Calendar Business Medium or higher versions.

      2) Please deactivate this option "Use simple booking form" configuration at the WP Booking Calendar > Settings General page in "Form Options" section in Booking Calendar Business Medium version for ability to configure the several custom booking forms.

Please be sure to use latest update 10.3 of Booking Calendar
      Kind Regards.

  7. I am sorry, I am still unable to figure out how to create a specific booking form for a specific calendar or resource. I have tried several times to use your instructions and am still lost as to HOW to save a form to use on a specific calendar. There is no SAVE AS button when you create a form. So I can not create different forms to use on different calendars. The second link you provided above does not open for me.

    • Hello.
